RE: Fall trips
Just back today from spending 5 days in the high country at State Forest State Park in the northern mountains at the foot of 10,200' Cameron Pass. The aspens are in their golden fall colors, always a spectacular sight. The evenings and early morning were very chilly, upper 20s to low 30s, frost on everything in the mornings. Saw plenty of wildlife also, from deer to moose to elk.
Hoping to get out one more time before the snow really begains to fly.
Maybe a trip to the ballon festival in New Mexico in 2 weeks
RE: problems with my tango trailer
We bought our Tango (286rbss) this past March. We also love are trailer,it is very comfortable and I feel it is very well made. We have had only one problem and that was with the water pump being very loud when pumping water, our dealer replaced it with a new Shur-Flow no questions asked. We have had it out 6 time and have taken down some rough dirt roads with no problems.
Sorry to here your having problems, but if you are looking for advice you should be more specific with what your problems are , as it is plentiful here.
RE: Tonneau Cover Impact on MPG
goodcruisin, thanks for the link to this paper. I left my tailgate off due to having a slide in camper and just left it off thinking it would improve MPG, just wishful thinking. We purchased a new TT back in March and on our first trip out I thought there was alot of drag/resistance on the trailer. After reading this article I can now understand why. I put the tailgate back on and will see if this helps out as we are going out this weekend. Thanks again, the article informative.
RE: Skunks
We had skunks living under our backyard deck and was told by a animal control person tn spray ammonia under the deck or fill a bowl/pan and just leave it there. We srrayed under, around, and on the deck and have not had them back since. We do spray every now and then just to keep them away.
RE: Should water pump be really loud?
Thanks BLDMAN, the dealers service dept. replaced pump & hosees and did check the system for leaks. We are going out next weekend so we will be able to check it out then.
RE: Should water pump be really loud?
We just purchased a new Tango TT, took it out 2 weekends ago and had same problem with water pump also, ours would come on at a low speed whenever it felt like it, did it twice in the middle of the night. Pump was so loud thought campers next to us would complain, it vibrated the floor also.
Took it in to the dealers service department when we got back and they replaced the pump whit a Shureflo Pump and installed 2 braided flex lines with a loop in them, the original pump from the factory was all hard piped in with plastic tubing. They also mounted it to the floor with foam and insulated some of the piping. They did it all under warranty. Have not tryed it out yet as we just get it back yesterday, going back out in a couple weeks will see if that fixed the problem, if not will try some of Les's modifications.
RE: break controler
We just purchased a TT (Tango 286RBSS), the dealer installed a Tekonsha Primus, how does it compare to the Prodigy. TV Silverado 2500 HD w/ firestone air bags which I had for my slide in pop-up camper.
Can the same wireing harness by used?
